ISO 9001 quality certificate to Finnvera

Published date

Finnvera plc and its subsidiaries Veraventure Ltd and Finnish Export Credit Ltd were granted an ISO 9001 certificate on 7 December 2010. The quality certificate covers the companies’ financing activities and all operating units.

The adoption of a certified quality system encompassing the whole range of its activities places Finnvera at the forefront of the financing sector in Finland. The ISO standard promotes the use of a process-type operating model and supports the systematic development of operations. The goal is to improve customer satisfaction and productivity.

Finnvera’s operating system provides the framework for the supervision of activities, the management of operative risks and for the development of activities. At the same time, the certified system adopted is a tool for illustrating changes that will be needed in the future and for ensuring that these changes are implemented. Everything starts with the customer: audits evaluate both how well services conform to the requirements set and how feedback from customers is utilised systematically.

The quality system has been under development since Finnvera was established. In 2005, Finnvera was recognised for excellence in the Finnish Quality Awards competition. Since 2006 Finnvera’s target has been to receive ISO 9001 certification in 2010. The certification was performed by Inspecta Certification.
