Finnvera’s Organization Is Being Renewed – Strengthening Collaboration with Stakeholders
Published date
Starting from 1 September 2025, Finnvera will restructure its organization to enhance its ability to support the growth, internationalization, and export efforts of Finnish companies. The restructuring also aligns with the requirements of the upcoming Finnvera Act and the transition to supervision under the Financial Supervisory Authority.
Customer service and financing operations for the SME and midcap unit will be organized into four nationwide functions:
| Function | Target Group and Focus | Director |
| Future growers | Start-ups and micro-enterprises | Elisa Sipponen |
| Domestic growers | Companies operating in the domestic market and beginning to export | Anna Karppinen |
| International growers | Internationalizing companies and export transactions | Otto Lindstedt |
| Innovative and scalable growers | Strategically significant and RDI-intensive growth companies | Jani Tuominen |
Credit decisions will be fully centralized in a dedicated credit decision unit.
These changes support our strategic goals to increase Finland’s exports, the number of exporters, and to strengthen growth, investments, and innovation. ‘To succeed, we aim to deepen stakeholder collaboration and regional partnerships,’ says Juha Ketola, Director of the SME and midcap business unit.
The Regional Organization Is Being Renewed – Aiming for Closer Cooperation with Stakeholders
As the national functions for customer and project work begin on 1 September, the regional organization will also be renewed. The role of Regional Director will be discontinued, and going forward, Regional Managers operating in the provinces will work closely with financiers, development companies, and other regional actors. The regional network will be led by Mikko Vänttinen.
