Changes to Finnvera’s debt collection as of 10 December 2025

Finnvera’s reminder and collection services will undergo changes that directly affect customers. 

Intrum Oy will continue as the service provider, but the new agreement introduces the following:

  • More reminder and collection calls. Intrum Oy will call more frequently if a Finnvera invoice remains unpaid.
  • No more use of “tratta”. The use of tratta in debt collection will end completely.
  • Changes in collection fees. Some fees will increase. This applies to payment reminders as well as notifications sent to guarantors and lenders. Note: Finnvera does not charge customers for reminder or collection calls.
  • Option to agree on payment. By agreeing with Intrum on the payment of an overdue invoice, you can avoid the process moving forward to a payment demand, termination, and eventually legal collection.

If your current repayment plan is too heavy

  • For Finnvera’s own loans, you can apply for changes through Finnvera's online service.
  • If the loan was granted by a bank or another financier and guaranteed by Finnvera, the application for changes must be submitted directly to the lender.
