FAQ – Starting a business

You can get free of charge advice for starting a business at

• the national Enterprise Finland Advisory Service
• your local Enterprise Agency
• your local Development Company

For making a business plan and performance plan, make an appointment at an enterprise consultant at the nearest Enterprise Agency or any other regional business service. The advisory services are free of charge. The plans are needed as attachments to your financing applications. 

You can prepare a business plan, for example, using the business plan tool on the Job Market Finland website.

When planning business operations and applying for a start-up grant, contact the employment authority in your area. Submit your grant application before starting full-time business operations or expanding your part-time business into full-time activity.
