Export financing cooperation

On this page you will find information about how Finnvera assesses the suitability of a new financing provider partner as a beneficiary of export credit guarantees and as a partner bank of Finnish Export Credit Ltd.

General principles

As guarantee beneficiaries and partner banks will be accepted well-known credit or financial institutions with expertise in export credit financing that are registered in high-income OECD and euro area countries. If the country is not a high-income OECD and euro area country, the bank will be accepted as a guarantee beneficiary/partner on a case-by-case basis.

We typically require the following of a new partner:

  • Basic information of the bank and an acceptable KYC report
  • Acceptable credit rating
  • Legal information concerning local insurance and banking legislation
  • Experience and expertise in export credit financing and familiarity with the OECD Export Credit Arrangement terms
  • Acceptance of the fact that the guarantee arrangement will be subject to Finnish law
