EU ECA Summit gathered European export credit agencies gathered in Helsinki – Finnvera and KUKE of Poland signed a cooperation agreement

European export credit agencies gathered in Helsinki for the EU ECA Summit hosted by Finnvera on 2 June 2026. The event brought together industry peers to discuss current priorities in export credit, cooperation within EU financial instruments, and collaboration with the European Commission, including the Global Gateway initiative. 

Topics also included closer cooperation with the European Investment Fund and current country-specific and thematic issues such as support related to Ukraine. Guest speakers included EIF Chief Executive Marjut Falkstedt and Professor Andreas Klasen, specialized in export finance.

Alongside the summit, Finnvera and Poland’s export credit agency KUKE signed a Reinsurance Framework Agreement aimed at strengthening collaboration between the two organisations and supporting the financing of export projects involving Finland and Poland.

“The agreement will help streamline financing processes and create new opportunities for export trade in both countries. We are very pleased about this cooperation and the future joint export finance projects it will enable,” said Jussi Haarasilta, Executive Vice President, Large Corporates at Finnvera.
