Description of project: Gruvaktiebolaget Viscaria plans to reopen the Viscaria Mine, a brownfield copper-iron mining project located approximately 3 km northwest of Kiruna. The project primarily involves underground mining, with some open pit mining, ore processing and the production and export of copper and magnetite concentrates. Key project components include mine infrastructure, a processing plant, water treatment facilities, tailings and waste rock management facilities, access roads, rail connection and related support infrastructure.
