Reporting and valuation principles

Reporting

As a member of the European Private Equity and Venture Capital Association (EVCA), Finnvera adheres to the Association’s Reporting Guidelines.

EVCA is given quarterly reports of all new direct investments. In addition, the Association’s Board of Directors receives semiannual reports on the status of Seed Fund Vera’s target enterprises; these reports are based on data delivered by the enterprises themselves. In the shareholder agreement, target enterprises agree to provide Finnvera with the necessary information for the reports.

As concerns investments in funds, Veraventure’s Board receives annual reports on the operations of the target funds. The report on funds is based on data collected from the management companies.

Valuation

When determining the value of its target enterprises, Finnvera complies with the guidelines on the valuation of investments issued by the European Private Equity & Venture Capital Association (EVCA) and the Finnish Venture Capital Association (FVCA), adhering to the principles of prudence.
