Applying for an investment from business angels

If your company is applying for an investment of at most about EUR 200,000 only from business angels, you may fill in the application form on the bottom of this page.

When applying for funding from business angels, you should supplement the basic data on the form with the enclosed Executive Summary, completed in either English or Finnish. We recommend filling in the form in English, because the events arranged by Finnvera may also include international investors.

Some of the companies applying for funding from business angels are selected for presentation at ExtraEvents organised by Finnvera for business angels. They are also presented on Finnvera’s Extranet service. The evaluation committee formed by business angels meets roughly every six weeks to select the applicants for presentation. The angel network is primarily interested in Finnish early-stage enterprises.

When selecting companies, particular attention is paid to the following aspects:

• The Executive Summary’s clarity and consistency. Since the selection is made only on the basis of the Executive Summaries, it is important to drawn them up carefully;
• Innovative and unique products or services;
• The size and attractiveness of markets;
• The competitive environment and the company’s edges in competition;
• The clarity and credibility of the earnings model.

The data on the application form are verified using your bank’s identification system. To fill in the form, you need access codes for online banking provided by your own bank. This ensures data protection for online services and helps identify the user safely.

You can submit the next applications for the ExtraEvent to be held on Tuesday, 5 June 2012. The applications must be in Finnvera’s system at the latest on Wednesday, 16 May. All applicants will be informed of the selection results by Wednesday, 30 May.
