You can significantly expedite the processing of your guarantee application by providing Finnvera with the following information on your project along with the application. The checklist enables Finnvera to assess to an adequate extent the commercial risks related to your project. For further information, please contact the Major Customers Unit.

1. Investment project description and implementation plan

  • Short overview of the project concept and the project timetable

2. Regulatory environment/attitude of the authorities

  • Regulatory entities and government policy, especially towards privatisation
  • Special regulations for BOO, BOT or TOT structures (if applicable), as well as regulations concerning the environmental impact of the proposed project
  • Terms of the necessary licence agreements, preferably a copy of the licence agreement, as well as the timetable for acquiring the necessary licences, permits and approvals
  • Currency exposure hedging possibilities

3. Macroeconomic factors

  • Macroeconomic indicators on which financial forecasts are based
  • Statistical information on the industrial structure in the national/local area, including the current and estimated numbers of companies, their sizes and lines of business

4. Owners/sponsors

  • Consolidated and audited financial statements of the sponsors
  • The sponsors' major shareholders
  • The sponsors' major investment plans in addition to this particular project, and their previous experience in the sector
  • Prospectus, if available , analyst's reports etc.
  • Track record of the main sponsors
