Finnvera offers export guarantees to Finnish exporters to cover risks related to the buyer or the borrower (com-mercial risks), or to the buyer's or borrower's country (political risks). Finnvera is an official Export Credit Agency (ECA), and the State of Finland is responsible for all guarantees issued by Finnvera.

Short term credit insurance for marketable risks
With EU-commissions approval, Finnvera can insure exports with a repayment period not exceeding 2 years to EU-countries and other industrialised coutries until 31.12.2010.
Finnvera continuously assesses the creditworthiness of countries involving political risk. Country classification and country categories are the basis for covering export risks.
The calculator gives indicative premium levels for Buyer Credit, Credit Risk and Letter of Credit Guarantees having a repayment period of 2 years or more for political and sovereign risks. Look at also short-term fees.
