Finnvera's Export Credit Guarantees for exports to Iraq´s neighbours on a case-by-case basis

Despite the war in Iraq, Finnvera will, for the time being, continue to grant export credit guarantees for exports to Turkey, Iran, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, Oman, Jordan, Israel, Lebanon and Egypt. Decisions will be made on a case-by-case basis.

Current commitments for export credit guarantees concerning these countries total EUR 222 million.

No guarantees have been granted for exports to Yemen or Syria; it is also years since any guarantees were granted for exports to Iraq. Finnvera also manages the receivables from Iraq that were accumulated by its predecessors, the Finnish Guarantee Board and Export Guarantee Board. This sum totals EUR 127 million.
