Director General Tarmo Korpela elected to the Board of Directors of Finnvera plc and Fide Ltd

At its meeting on 5 May 2003, the Supervisory Board of Finnvera plc elected Director General Tarmo Korpela of the Confederation of Finnish Industry and Employers (TT) to the Board of Directors of Finnvera plc and Fide Ltd. Mr. Korpela will succeed Head of Department Juhani Huttunen (TT), who steps down owing to his retirement.

The following regular members will continue on the Board of Directors: Director-General Kalle J. Korhonen (Ministry of Trade and Industry); Governmental Counsellor, Director of Legislative Affairs Pekka Laajanen (Ministry of Finance); Governmental Counsellor Päivi Kerminen (Ministry of Labour); Permanent Under-Secretary Pekka Lintu (Ministry for Foreign Affairs); Director General Martti Mäenpää (Federation of Finnish Metal, Engineering and Electrotechnical Industries, MET); Director Risto Suominen (Federation of Finnish Enterprises); and Deputy Director Matti Viialainen (Central Organisation of Finnish Trade Unions SAK).

The deputy members elected to the Board are Industrial Counsellor Ritva Hainari (Ministry of Trade and Industry) and Ministerial Adviser Kristina Sarjo (Ministry of Finance).
