Governmental Counsellor Elise Pekkala to serve as Deputy Member on the Board of Directors of Finnvera plc and Fide Ltd

At its meeting on 20 April 2004, the Supervisory Board of Finnvera plc elected Governmental Counsellor Elise Pekkala of the Ministry of Trade and Industry as deputy member to the Board of Directors of Finnvera plc and Fide Ltd. Ms. Pekkala will succeed Industrial Counsellor Ritva Hainari (Ministry of Trade and Industry).

The following regular members will continue on the Board of Directors: Director-General Kalle J. Korhonen (Ministry of Trade and Industry); Governmental Counsellor, Director of Legislative Affairs Pekka Laajanen (Ministry of Finance); Governmental Counsellor Päivi Kerminen (Ministry of Labour); Deputy Director General Tarmo Korpela (Confederation of Finnish Industry and Employers); Permanent Under-Secretary Pekka Lintu (Ministry for Foreign Affairs); Director General Martti Mäenpää (Technology Industries of Finland); Director Risto Suominen (Federation of Finnish Enterprises); and Deputy Director Matti Viialainen (Central Organisation of Finnish Trade Unions SAK).

Financial Counsellor Kristina Sarjo (Ministry of Finance) will continue as the second deputy member.
