In line with the employment contract signed in 1998, Finnvera’s Board of Directors and the company’s Managing Director Markku Mäkinen have today agreed that Mr. Mäkinen will retire on 1 July 2005.
The decision is based on the joint conclusion that the company has now reached a stable phase where the change of managing director can be carried out smoothly.
Kalle J. Korhonen, Chairman of the Board, says that the initiative was taken by Mr. Mäkinen himself. There are no underlying differences of opinion or individual events that would have prompted this decision.
For his part, Markku Mäkinen says that the company is now in a good shape and people are ready to roll up their sleeves and get down to work. It’s a good time to make this move.
