Pekka Huhtaniemi, Director in the Foreign Service, Appointed a Member of the Board of Directors of Finnvera plc

At its meeting on 21 December 2005, the Supervisory Board of Finnvera plc elected Pekka Huhtaniemi, Director in the Foreign Service, as a regular member of Finnvera plc's Board of Directors from 1 January 2006 to replace Under-Secretary Pekka Lintu, who is moving to the Foreign Service on 1 January 2006.

The regular members of the Board of Directors comprise: Department Manager, Director-General Kalle J. Korhonen (Ministry of Trade and Industry); Governmental Counsellor, Director of Legislative Affairs Pekka Laajanen (Ministry of Finance); Special Adviser Tarmo Korpela (Confederation of Finnish Industries, EK); Governmental Counsellor Päivi Kerminen (Ministry of Labour); Managing Director Martti Mäenpää (Technology Industries of Finland); Director Risto Suominen (Federation of Finnish Enterprises); and Deputy Director Matti Viialainen (The Central Organisation of Finnish Trade Unions, SAK).

The deputy members of the Board are Governmental Counsellor Elise Pekkala (Ministry of Trade and Industry) and Financial Counsellor Kristina Sarjo (Ministry of Finance).
